Need Some Help: Adapting 2-pin Mil-C5015 to BNC plug

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could provide me some help.

I will be launching a roadtest in January on an IEPE Measurement DAQ HAT for Raspberry Pi®.

The roadtest kit comes with a board and two cables (10-32 plug to BNC jack)

I will be using this sensor, which has a 2-pin (Mil-C-5015) 5/8-24 UNEF-2A connector

Here's the product information: description and drawing.

I'm trying to find the easiest way to connect the sensor to the cable.

I found a Mil 5015 to BNC jack adapter:

But I need a BNC plug.

Can anyone provide me suggestions on the best way to do this?

Thanks.

Randall

You could just use the same adapter that you had found and throw in a regular BNC-BNC cable. That would be very straightforward and inexpensive.

Or, instead of the cable, a BNC-plug to BNC-plug adaptor like this https://uk.farnell.com/amphenol-rf/031-218-rfx/rf-adapter-bnc-plug-plug-50-ohm/dp/3757652

    Hi Randall,

What I found are this original adapter cables on the German website (I'm sure you can find it as well in your country):

     Datenblatt - PCB Synotech GmbH

2 pol connector straight, shielded cable, 3m long, to a BNC plug:

    https://www.synotech.de/produkte/datenblatt/?untergruppe=zub_kabel_ind&h=PCB&m=052BR010AC

2 pol connector right angle, shielded cable, 3m, with open end:

    https://www.synotech.de/produkte/datenblatt/?untergruppe=zub_kabel_ind&h=PCB&m=052BQ010BZ

2 pol connector straight, shielded cable, 3m, with open end:

    https://www.synotech.de/produkte/datenblatt/?untergruppe=zub_kabel_ind&h=PCB&m=052BR010BZ

With this you can easily make your adapter cable.

    Best Regards

    Gerald
