Hi, can you specify type of application (power or other), and type of package (TO-247, TO-220 ... etc)?

G2356 without suffix HEX, can be replaced by 2SA114 but this is small transistor for RF/AMP

    2SA114   <=>  G2356 TR PNP18 GE,RF/IF AMP,OSC,MIX(DIGI

hi good equivalent for your transitor should be

    NPN  2SD2356

    http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheets2/24/243016_2.pdf

    or this one

    BUX 37 ... BU 931, MJ 10012, BUX80 ...

If you can, please post a transistor and PCB photos. Maybe it's IGBT from ignition system.

Best way to solve the problem is making drawings from PCB and trying discover role of this element, and type NPN, PNP, IGBT, MOSFET.

    yes th package seems right

but i didn't found any components with similar name

    and this package....

    http://search.datasheetcatalog.net/key/2356

but if HEX mean hexagonal sure it's an hex mosfet used for high power

    application

    Hi Manou,

here is a link with an alternative from Intersil.

    http://www.seekdatasheet.com/Datasheet-340954-G2356HEX.html

Your G2345HEX is an older IGBT MosFet which is now very seldom to get. But the HGTG20N120C3D is an alternative with

    nearly identical parameters...

    Have fun!

    Chris
