ROADTEST POLL-- Which of These Boards Would You Likely Decide to Roadtest?

Here are a few more boards that I would like to get your feedback on whether element145 should offer them as roadtests. If you have a bit of time, I'd appreciate your vote.

I got one of these Cytron boards (Maker Pi Pico) and it's pretty convenient mainly as a breakout ... it's also very reasonably priced: https://www.cytron.io/p-maker-pi-pico Never tried the one on this…

Cytron looks like an interesting board but I will admit I've always wanted to try out a Jetson nano

All of those are interesting choices.

For me, the Maaxboard and the Nano Every are redundant - I have a Raspberry Pi, and I have several choices of boards that can (probably?) do for me what the Every does. So I'd be interested and happy to try them out, but not for the effort and commitment required for a proper RoadTest.

The Cytron Maker is really cool, as it seems to have all the things I want for robot arms and robot cars - but I'm not familiar with Grove connectors as I have none of those, so I'm not sure if it would interface easily with my existing robot platforms (standard servo connectors, mainly).

The Jetson Nano is also very interesting, and it looks like it would be a very nice replacement for a Raspberry Pi based server, given the 16GB eMMC, which for my tiny bits of data being collected should be plenty for a long while. My hesitation is whether it is compatible enough with Raspberry Pi to make those things easy - I'm guessing most likely the server parts can all install to whatever Linux system it uses in the same way as before, but can it run Python software that is intended for a Raspberry Pi ? (the sprinkler control software is very Pi biased). And the other "wish they included that" item is that the M.2 slot doesn't support SSDs. I'm not sure if that's important, given the eMMC?

The Jetson Nano's main USP is the processing cores that form its CUDA capability, ideal for things like AI or anywhere lots of data needs to be processed in parallel. As a Pi replacement it wouldn't be very good, since the CUDA cores would go unused. It's about the cheapest way to get that capability (many PCs may have graphics cards that support it too). Possibly the Maaxboard could be a closer fit to a Raspberry Pi (since the Pi is out of stock in a lot of places currently) but I've not looked at the Maaxboard details.

I like the Seeed cases they use... they fit both the Jetson Nano, and also the Raspberry Pi. I've been meaning to create a little LED strip for the Raspberry Pi enclosure, so that the LED flashes whenever there's a radio event (the Pi has a LoRaWAN card installed).
