Weller Micro Soldering Kit and Filtration Unit - first test of desoldering tweezers

Testing the desoldering tweezers. I removed a set of SMD components from a multi-layer board:

  • I just did a new rework test. Remove 3 0402 resistors from a multilayer board, and replace them.

    The video above was done right after unpacking the kit. This time, I have a week of experience. You may notice that I'm more comfortable with the tweezers and iron than in video 1. They now feel natural.

    what was used from the kit:

    • the station, at 380° C. Both for tweezers and iron.
    • conical bent tip solder tweezers (RTWMS 004 C X)
    • bevel micro solder tip 0.4 mm (RTM 004 B MS)
    • micro solder iron
    • tweezers
    • auto tip cleaner (not in view)
    • fume extractor (partly in view)
