Can you safely review this Digital Isolator?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to work out how suitable the Toshiba DCM340L01  is for a RoadTest and would appreciate your input.

Reading through the datasheet it seems quite interesting, but due to the voltage it claims to be able to insulate from (5000Vrms), I'm not sure what equipment is required to put it through its paces.

What additional equipment might you need for a RoadTest?

Rather than just the IC alone, the chip is provided on a break-out board, as shown below.

The following documentation for the chip is provided from the manufacturer:

Just looking over the data sheet, there are a lot of aspects of this device that would be tricky to test.

Not only the voltage levels, but there are also the timing issues to consider.

This would be a great part for Gough Lui to test.

He would have the knowledge and probably the equipment to do it justice.

btw - I have tested isolator delays using inverter generator and comparing output frequencies, but Gough Lui and his extensive lab would be better prepared (especially when max transfer rate is more manageable 50Mb/s)
