Are You Ready To Build A Project with the Pocket IO? I Got 5 to Giveaway

rscasny

Back in April, I wrote a blog asking the community what they would build with the PocketIO from Maxim Integrated. Some people responded.

Now, I've learned I am getting 5 of them. And the supplier would like to sponsor 5 projects.

If you are still interested and are available, please comment below.

If you didn't suggest a project in the original blog, please provide me some idea of what you would build. A summary of the project.

For technical information on the Pocket IO, go here.

Thanks.

That is very generous rscasny Thanks for following up. I will endeavor to post a picture of some of the swag in an interesting location or a tech scenario.

There seems to be a lot of excellent stuff lying around in the storeroom so thanks for the offer rscasny

I feel pocket IO could be given a chance without the inclusion of the Edison since the platform itself is quite able. I am requesting for that TMS570 LP but would love to take the Pocket IO for a test drive. Who knows, maybe we can find a use for the PocketIO without the Edison.

    IP,

This seemed like the logical place to start: find something else to replace the Edison. But they chose otherwise.

Well, Inderpreet, I agree with you - we could try to hack the Pocket IO and use another small profile platform like Omega 2, BeagleBone Black  or any other, even knowing their difference from Intel's Edison would require some adaptation in code and hardware. But Pocket IO  seems to be a very nice platform to just let it die without trying some kind of "patch" to make it survive... image

We could, at least, give it a try, don't you think?

    Regards,

    Miguel
