Microchip’s PIC24E USB Starter Kit (DM240012) provides a low cost method for the development and testing of USB OTG, Host and Device applications on the 60 MIPS PIC24E MCU family. The board contains an on-board programming/debugger, standard A USB and micro A/B connectors, three user-programmable LEDs, three push button switches and an expansion header compatible with the Multimedia Expansion Board (DM320005) and I/O Expansion Board (DM320002). The starter kit comes preloaded with basic Communication Device Class (CDC) demonstration software.

 

The starter kit comes preloaded with demonstration software for the user to explore the new features of the dsPIC33E  DSC family (dsPIC33E USB Starter Kit(DM330012) or the PIC24E MCU family (PIC24E USB Starter Kit(DM240012). It is also expandable through a modular expansion interface, which allows the user to extend its functionality. The starter kit also supplies on-board circuitry for full debug and programming capabilities.

 

Microchip's 16-bit, PIC24 MCUs and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers provide designers with an easy upgrade path from 8-bit PIC® microcontrollers and a cost effective option to 32-bit MCUs.
