The App note has a lot of good information. I need to spend some time looking it over. If I don't get selected for the road test, I will look into a possible purchase. Definately an intriguing device.
It is not possible to do video with this configuration because the display size is too large and additionally the CPU has to emulate the graphics controller. However, it is possible to do small animations.
Lots of projects for this hardware configuration can be found in the graphics directory of the Microchip libraries : http://www.microchip.com/MLA
I am looking for a way to embed a graphics controller into a product that will show short movies based on switch closure. Can this board do that? The files are small movie files such as .mov or .wmf format. A controller would read the switches and decide which short movie to show, and if no buttons are pushed it would loop a default movie.
Yes, you may enrol. The only restriction we place on enrolees is that if you have been successful in becoming a Road Tester and do not post a review within 2 months of receipt of the product, you are ineligible to participate in any future Road Tests.
