  • After some kerfuffle with UPS and local customs, I have just received the review unit. It arrived in a fantastically large box.

  • tomaskek, the terms state that you have two months within receipt of the product, so I'd say you still have 8 weeks to produce your review.

  • Let me be the first to say thank you for the update image it is much appreciated and looking forward to your review.

  • Finally, oscilloscope is on my table. Shipping box was huge, i mean, really huge, like 1x1x0.7m.

I want to say thank you Tektronix for selecting my application for MDO3054 roadtest, as well as Christian DeFeo for answering constant questions about shipping status.

Roadtest review should be ready within 2-3 weeks from now, sorry, i can't do faster, lot of work.

  • Yes I've been tracking my unit as well - it arrived in the country a few days ago, just waiting for customs to do their thing.

  • Finally, review unit is in customs, it would be great too get it this week image

  • I'm not heard any further news either, but I'm sure things are happening as fast as they can. I understand your enthusiasm.

  • More than one week passed, but no news. Any update on shipping date ?

  • If you look at past Road Tests you will notice a pattern... Anyways about using all the time you have to write a single review, as Peter pointed out to me on a previous road test its better to write as you go or to write more than one piece. What I was really talking about was that there were no updates here in the comments. We usually see comments thanking E14 for winning, then a big YIPPY!! when they receive the item etc. something that lets the community know that they have not bailed as so many others have.

Any ways no hard feelings we are all just wondering what this thing can really do.

  • Wow Kas, talk about assuming the worst in people......  Most of us here also have full time jobs (that usually includes, but also involves other responsibilities besides playing with test equipment) and writing a review worth your time reading takes a lot of time invested both to test/evaluate the equipment, document, and write a decent review.   I could put this thing on a desk and start hooking it up to demo boards and showing every feature, but that would make my review no better than a sell sheet or a manufacturer's rep coming in to demo it.  Not all level 1/2 Roadtesters are going to rush a 1 hour written review shortly after unboxing solely for the purpose of fulfilling an obligation and obtaining free stuff.  I would rather take *ALL* the time I am allotted to become an EXPERT on this product and learn all I can about what went into it, and where it can be improved before writing a review.  Is there anything specific about this product you are interested in or would like to see reviewed??? -Brian
