Today's integrated designs need an oscilloscope that is just as integrated - such as the MDO3000 Mixed Domain OscilloscopeMDO3000 Mixed Domain Oscilloscope (MDO) Series. It is the ultimate 6-in-1 integrated oscilloscope that includes an integrated spectrum analyzer, arbitrary function generator, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, and digital voltmeter/counter. The MDO3000 is completely customizable and fully upgradeable. Add the instruments and performance you need now - or later.
Testers will be selected on the basis of quality of applications: we expect a full and complete description of why you want to test this particular product.
Testers are required to produce a full, comprehensive and well thought out review within 2 months of receipt of the product.
Failure to provide this review within the above timescale will result in the enrolee being excluded from future Road Tests.
Finally, oscilloscope is on my table. Shipping box was huge, i mean, really huge, like 1x1x0.7m.
I want to say thank you Tektronix for selecting my application for MDO3054 roadtest, as well as Christian DeFeo for answering constant questions about shipping status.
Roadtest review should be ready within 2-3 weeks from now, sorry, i can't do faster, lot of work.
If you look at past Road Tests you will notice a pattern... Anyways about using all the time you have to write a single review, as Peter pointed out to me on a previous road test its better to write as you go or to write more than one piece. What I was really talking about was that there were no updates here in the comments. We usually see comments thanking E14 for winning, then a big YIPPY!! when they receive the item etc. something that lets the community know that they have not bailed as so many others have.
Any ways no hard feelings we are all just wondering what this thing can really do.
Wow Kas, talk about assuming the worst in people...... Most of us here also have full time jobs (that usually includes, but also involves other responsibilities besides playing with test equipment) and writing a review worth your time reading takes a lot of time invested both to test/evaluate the equipment, document, and write a decent review. I could put this thing on a desk and start hooking it up to demo boards and showing every feature, but that would make my review no better than a sell sheet or a manufacturer's rep coming in to demo it. Not all level 1/2 Roadtesters are going to rush a 1 hour written review shortly after unboxing solely for the purpose of fulfilling an obligation and obtaining free stuff. I would rather take *ALL* the time I am allotted to become an EXPERT on this product and learn all I can about what went into it, and where it can be improved before writing a review. Is there anything specific about this product you are interested in or would like to see reviewed??? -Brian

Thank you to all who applied; Tektronix will be considering all the applications over the next few days and selecting the successful testers. As soon as they have done so, we'll make an announcement. …
Michael - that's right, just a review in this instance as it isn't a "RoadTest Plus" - however we'll look favourably on additional information provided: and who can say what seeds for the future will be…
Very nice device. I felt the urge to apply when I saw the Road Test, but I wouldn't be able to do it justice, nor would I ever make use of its full potential.
I feel this one is for the professionals…
