Detailed Review:
Unboxing:
This box contains a set of 10 insulated screwdrivers including: 4 Phillips #0, #1, #2, #3 and 6 slotted 6.5mm, 4.5mm, 3.5mm, 3.0mm, 2.5mm, 2.0mm.
No manual but it's not really needed for this kind of product.
Out-of-box experience:
To test the out-of-box experience I used the screwdrivers to disassembly and assembly again a Rotel stereo amplifier.
This amplifier has a lot of screws in the bottom, back and inside. Different sizes but all of them are Phillips.
I used all of the Phillips screwdrivers, but I like more the #2 because of the handle size and it can hold the screws, even that the head is not magnetic.
The disassembly was 17 minutes, and the assembly was 22 minutes, the extra 5 minutes was because I used the 4 Phillips sizes, when for those screw sizes it would be better to use only #2 or #3.
Disassembly:
Assembly:
These screwdrivers are easy to use, the handle has good proportions for every size. In general, they work as expected.
Insulation Test:
I use an insulation tester to measure the resistance of the screwdrivers.
I tested using 1000V setting, I got a reading of 4GΩ+ on all of the Wiha screwdrivers, anything above 100MΩ is excellent.
In order to get the insulation value that Wiha tested, I would need to use a better insulation tester capable of testing at 10,000V. But is good to know that it has an excellent insulation resistance at the rated voltage (1000V).
For reference, I tested a cheap no brand non-insulated screwdriver, I got a reading of 559KΩ which is bad.
Conclusion:
This set ha good quality, it meets the purpose of a screwdriver set, the insulation is excellent this is really important when using them with a live circuit.
The grip is great, it feels good when using them.
I recommend to everyone that works with a high voltage up to 1000V to get these Wiha insulated screwdrivers.
