RoadTest: RoadTest Review the TI LMZ36002EVM

Author: balazs.kim

Creation date:

Evaluation Type: Development Boards & Tools

Did you receive all parts the manufacturer stated would be included in the package?: True

What other parts do you consider comparable to this product?: LM46002PWPEVM LMZ21700EVM

What were the biggest problems encountered?: I received different evaluation board

Detailed Review:

The TI power evaluation boards has enough connectors and space to connect test equipments and other circuits.

The LMZ36002EVM are better for higher load, the LMZ21700 for low power and very tight space requirements,

and  the LM46002PWPEVM for low power and high current.

The biggest advantage is that I can be sure that there is no assembly mistake during testing and measurement.

The IC's and especially the nano-module assembly are not a easy task.

The second best thing is, some EMC measurements can be done on the evaluation board, and comparable

with the application board when it's ready. This can help to catch EMC problems in-house

before the laboratory EMC test.

I apologize for the delay, but I still need to wait for some parts of my project to become ready.

The LM460002PWPEVM was tested with light and normal load, and radiated EMC measured.

The results are good, radiation is under the acceptance level.

Regarding the other parameters, I did not find any deviation from the given ones.

Board packaging are good, documentation are easy to find on the web page.

  • Hi ,

I'd be quite interested in knowing what your project is about. While waiting to complete your project, perhaps you could already add some more information about it. Thank you.

I understand you are waiting for some parts to complete your review, but I'm very curious to know on the EMC, what were the readings you got and the setup you used to measure them. This is something you can expand in your review.
