How much will be the difference between Build and Buy an 3D printer?

Im wondering because i dont know if its better build it by myself, the main reason is the cost, im just a 16 years old technician, so i dont have many choices.

The build your own printers are typically cheaper. The electronics for them can still be quite expensive, I've not investigate much they seem to be in the order of £200 for electronics and motors.

Have a look at the http://www.reprap.org/ or the Printrbot which is a just $299 for their simplest model or $399 for the Jr that's been mentioned over on the Roadtest
