What level can 3D printer technique develop to ?

For fun and curiosity, I bought a Geeetech 3D printer, trying to make some fun things myself. Undeniably, I love that machine so much. But somehow a question pops into my mind, that what level can 3D printing technique develop to. I always dream of a 3D printer that can print a colorful with only 3 colors material.

No, I mean, whether in some time of future, we can easily print a colorized model, including human organ or anything else. You know, that will look more nature and beutiful.

Technology typically surprise me for what it cna achieve
If you think that researches for 3D printing human organs are ongoing, there are plenty of room for improving 3D printing technology

We can print human organ now, but I think that is the end point in medical field. If 3D printing develops to printing a human or anything alive, that will be terrible!!
Maybe one day, A 3D printer can printer any color thing as 2D color printer can do.

I agree with you, it just like clone technique. But I think we can not print a real animal forever, because a life is not simply assembling some cells together, they need to work together, too. That's the hardest.
If we want the 3D printer perform like 2D, the first issue we need to solve is how to turn one color into another color immediately. For example, if I want to change yellow from blue, before it complete change, there must be green color.

If you are looking at multi-color printing on a FDM/FFF machine than we are almost there. Check out this link Spectrom - Full-Color Desktop 3D Printer Now, this technology can't print every color out there but its a start.
