Hello element14
i am a new member in this community, and i really admire the idea of the whole thing from the ben heck show who inspired me to be a member of this community to the idea of the community it's self
so i wanted your opinion about sth, i am kinda a noob and i am building a delta 3d printer, i have no problem in the coding, electronics or the mechanics parts it's all almost done but i am struggling now with the chassis and frame's material
at first i thought of aluminum then i thought i can make it out of carbon fibers cuz unlike the aluminum it resists the heat much better, it looks awesome, it won't need painting and it will be rigid enough if i made it with 7 layers
but i found out it will be sooo over my budget, so i thought of fiber glass but now idk if fiber glass will be stable enough for the chassis and/or frame
so can it be done with fiber glass or should i go back to aluminum and if it's okay to make the outer frame with fiber glass, will it be okay to do the same with the base and the top of the 3d printer?
if so, how many layers it should be including a steel wire layer in the middle?
thank u so much in demand for your help guys
