Text Not Appearing on Print

Hey all,

I'm learning when it comes to 3D printing and am having some difficulty.  I am creating a custom coin and it looks great in Fusion 360, however when I send it to my slicer program (QidiPrint being my default) the text I have on the coin does not appear.  I tried to scale up the design but I'm still not getting anything.  I also tried downloading a different slicer program and I'm still not getting the text.  Is there some kind of limitation on what the printer can do (I have the Qidi Tech 1)?  Is it perhaps too small?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

All printers have a physical limitation of the width they can print (mine has a 0.4mm nozzle) and you may encounter issues when you go below this without adjusting some settings.

I use Simplify 3D and it has a setting for adjusting the external wall type - I can set it to allow 'single extrusion wall thickness'. This is how you can print small features - without this setting you get exactly the issue you describe.

I have no idea where this setting (if it exists in your slicer) would be, but I'd look there first.

Well I seem to have figured it out but am not sure as to why it wasn't working before.  I did the first sketch (the Twitch logo) and cut down into the coin.  Then I added the text via svg files and extruded up from what had been cut.  I guess that is why it was not appearing even though in Fusion 360 it appears to be fine.  I went back to square one and did the cut not only after doing the sketch but also after adding the svg files.  Everything came out just fine after I scaled it up to meet the minimum of my printer (0.4mm).  I appreciate your help as that limitation would have also had me stumped!

Hey Joshua, no worries. I'm just glad you got it sorted.
