controller + drivers for 3D printer

Hello,

Could some body help me with controller + drivers for 3D printer? i'm looking smalles size for it. Also i'm interesting about good quality and workable product. Ig some body know about it or have some sugestion, please help me with it.

    Alex,

    The most common controller board is going to be the Ramps 1.4.  Its a shield for the Arduino Mega 2560 or some form of clone.  http://reprap.org/wiki/RAMPS_1.4.  As far as size they are all going to be comparable.  The stepper drivers typically are A4988. Pololu - A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Carrier.  This setup is what i run on most of my printers just for the fact that its a modular design.  You could go with controllers such as the Smothieboard or Azteeg x5 which are 32bit controllers instead of the standard 8bit. Here is a list of the current electronics for 3d printers.  http://reprap.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Electronics.  Hope this gets you started and don't hesitate to ask more questions as E14 has some very knowledgeable 3d printing gurus.
