can any buddy tell me if i can make a 3d printer totally from scratch?

i am a student having no expertise in any kind of electronics but i still want to create a 3d printer. so, if i can make one what are the basic requirements? please help! (sorry if the question was too dumb)

    if you had all the right equipment and a lot of time to learn about electronics, Programming and algorithims about how to create and slice 3D models, sure

     

    but probably the better aproach is to build one from parts

     

    heater, extruder

    X,Y,Z cartezian bed (Stepper controls etc)

    open source 3D modeling software or at lest free software

    then pre fabricated or DIY basic hardware

     

    its all there for the avid googler

     

    but if your truely a rank ameture / noobee at electronics and engineering then I would suggest starting with more basic projects and slowly build up to a printer
