    Yep, seen many computers with a single fan (or none), and the way the question is worded makes it sounds like it's an absolute.

    Wow! I really needed to read a couple of those questions carefully. I understood them quite well the second read though. Answers come easy when you're building to efficiency on you own pcs. The fan question actually asks "positive pressure" i build to draw out more than i can feed in as i understand positive pressure is heat in itself... how diamonds are made?

    There are pros and cons for both positive and negative pressure, and either can be designed to work well. For example here are a few pros for positive pressure:

    • if you filter incoming air through a fan that creates positive pressure, then you get a lot less dust accumulating in your case
    • if you draw air in from the bottom to create positive pressure, it helps to keep rain out
    • positive pressure (denser air) extracts more heat
    • it can be easier to blow air on hot spots than to channel air to be sucked through hot spots
