Identify this circular connector please

Hi, I am building a new controller for a Braumeister brew system and the manufacturer will not tell me the type of temperature sensor connector they use for the unit. Rather than want me to purchase the entire assembly and throw away the RTD PT1000 and cable.

The connector is a 3-pin, close to M8 or M8 in size. I have tried a Hirschmann connector with part number 933406100 ELST 3008 V which does plug in, but the locking thread is too coarse and does not engage.

Does anyone know of circular 3-pin connector with a finer thread pitch than M8 as per this attached photo of the actual unit? Thank you.

Try here: https://uk.farnell.com/w/c/connectors/sensor-connectors-components/sensor-connectors/prl/results/4?sensor-connector-size… Lot's to choose from, quite hard to work out which is the one you need…

Thank you MK, I have searched through the "M8" connectors and even purchased one as mentioned the thread is way too coarse and it appears the M8 standard thread is consistent across most connectors. Therefore…

I just measured the connector again and it is definitely the same size as the M8 connector I purchased from Element14 in Australia. The only difference is the locking thread type being much finer pitched…

Here's another place to look that may work better for you:

Thank you MK, I have searched through the "M8" connectors and even purchased one as mentioned the thread is way too coarse and it appears the M8 standard thread is consistent across most connectors. Therefore I am led to conclude the connector I am after is not an M8 (perhaps DIN or some other standard?) because it has a much finer thread. Does the finer thread indicate another "series" or standard that this connector might be from?

The only difference is the locking thread type being much finer pitched.... It's so strange I cannot seem to find anything that indicate options for a different thread type across M8 connectors!

For reference the diameter of the plug in end is 6.75mm and the outer diameter of the locking thread is ~7.9mm. Both sensors measured almost identically.

Are you able to measure the pitch of the the thread on the sensor connector ?

The simple alternative is just to cut off the connector and replace it with one that mates with the connector you have already bought.

(You knew that of course !)

It's measuring at 0.5mm thread pitch or 50 TPI. The major diameter of the thread is about 8.9mm. So strange as I cannot seem to marry that up with a conventional thread standard. It's most likely metric as the manufacturer is European (German) and everything else on the unit is metric. The other connectors are Hirschmann off the shelf power connectors so I doubt this is a custom made connector. Just so bizarre it's a locking thread that cannot be easily found!

Attached are some photos of the two connectors (one is actually a Phoenix contact M8), the other the original that I am trying to purchase one of. You can see how the M8 plugs in but the thread doesn't engage, in fact the major diameter is about 1mm shy which is allowing it to plug in. I COULD just use this as is, but it would be prone to being pulled out if the sensor cable is knocked/tugged on (possible in the environment it will be in).

I understand I can cut the unit to re-use my connector but I actually need two as I want to be able to swap between controllers and will have two different cables and sensors.

Fallback plan is to purchase the pre-made assembly for 50 Euros and just use the cheapest of the two components, but that is very expensive!

Found out that the connector is a Binder 99-0405-00-03.
