PCB pressure sensor help

Hi, i have a Sleep Number air bed pump that is intended to produce air and blow through the valves, the remote is wireless and the remote is registering the higher pressure (#100). Have replaced the black air pressure sensors and got same results. Something is telling the remote that the pressure is up. What can be the issue, are there more air sensors on this PCB? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Andrei,

     

    I can't see the numbers on the pressure sensors or the adjacent ICs but the next step is to see if you can look at their Data Sheets. The goal is to see if the output of the sensors is normal. Next I suspect the output of the sensors is modified or amplified by those two similar adjacent chips. How does the output of these chips compare to what they should be. If all is normal with the sensors and related chips the problem will be with the logic circuitry or the telemetry signal to the remote.

    Hi Andrei

     

    If you replaced those surface mounted pressure sensors you have some definite skills as that would not have been easy. Have you checked to see what the manufacturer charges for a replacement board? Sometimes that is the best route. I work on boards for medical and industrial equipment but my success rate is only about 50% on the boards that I see regularly and have already back engineered in the areas where they have usual failures. It may be quite time consuming to work on a board I have never seen before and unlikely I would be able to find the problem. If you still want to send it I will make a contact with you so you can personally message me for more information. If you aren't in the USA it probably doesn't make sense to ship it as the cost each way for shipping will be too much and too much chance for loss or damage on the way.
