Hi there,
I am doing some research and am trying to find the ideal connector for a specific task; however I am feeling overwhelmed by choice and am uncertain how to pick the best quality/most reliable connector.
I am looking to design a bus to interconnect the trays of a Cubesat using a ribbon cable and evenly spaced plugs along it. The 40-60 wire ribbon cable will carry digital logic between the subsystems on each of the satellite's five trays.
Obviously I am looking for lockable connector that is reliable and suitable for space conditions. I have found a number of D-Sub connectors, however I would prefer to be able to have multiple plugs along a single ribbon cable if possible.
What options are out there for these quite specific requirements?
Note this is only part of a research project.
Cheers,
Mitch
