    You need to be specific about what the 5-pin DIN is carrying in terms of signal/protocol, as I doubt it's pure USB. Such connectors may be used for MIDI in which case an interface bridge chip is embedded…

    You need to be specific about what the 5-pin DIN is carrying in terms of signal/protocol, as I doubt it's pure USB. Such connectors may be used for MIDI in which case an interface bridge chip is embedded into the cable. Other times it is used for specific proprietary signals and a wire adapter will not be enough.
