I'm looking for a banana test lead just like in the pictures provided. We're running out of them in the shop, and I can't seem to find an identical lead ANYWHERE. Newark, Electro-Sonic, Pomona, nothing (These companies would be ideal to order from as we have an account with them and there's Canadian versions of them). I also tried searching by image on google and bing, with the pictures too! nothing even remotely close. I'm surprised these are hard to find since they're pretty useful, being stackable in multiple ways.
- The leads come in a variety of colours, from the standard red and black, to green, blue, purple, brown, and yellow (From what I've seen in the shop, anyway).
- They come in two parts: a plastic snap-in jacket, and a conductor/core.
- It's DIY, so you can solder any length and type of wire you'd like into the solder slot.
Key points:
- On one side, it says "MC," as in the Multi-Contact company that made them. However, they come up as "Staubli," on the internet when I search up www.multi-contact-usa.com. Even there I couldn't the exact lead.
- On that note, the leads were a special order and were ordered around 2006, the earliest date I could find on the bags they come in.
- I can barely make it out, but on the yellowing label on the second last line, it reads: date: 12/18/2006.
- The part ID for the yellow leads is 64.1010.24 (yellowing label), and the for the black, 64.1010-21 on the nicer label.
- The model number for the yellow looks like KT-471 and for black, KT-471 BLK.
- On that note, the leads were a special order and were ordered around 2006, the earliest date I could find on the bags they come in.
Ideally, I'm looking for an identical lead. Maybe they've been discontinued? Replaced? It just boggles me that there's not even a single picture of the bananas. >:(
Hopefully I can some insight from you guys on this forum! Even if I can just get a name of the lead style, that be something.
I found Element14 through our 2017-2018 Newark Element14 catalog and decided to google them.
Thanks so much!
