  • Interesting idea.

     

    I thought that zombies migrate to humans in order to convert them into zombies.

    If that is the case you'd need something at the end that the zombie thought was a human, ie more than 1 human to look after them??

     

    I like the poster, but one tiny little error is that the alternator field wire needs a lamp/load in order to limit the current and therefore gain the refrence voltage ...

     

    Hopefully you survive the next apocolypse and can put this into action ...

    I did know about the field-node. A big old resistor would work.

    I left it out, since I didn't want to get too deep into the mechanics.

    However.... Perhaps I should add it.

    Big resistor works.

    Problem with some of these things is that someone will copy it (yes they do have the internet but we see all sorts here).

     

    Just put a little box at the connection point away from the Alternator.

     

    It's a great concept though ... well done.

    PS where does one find 250 treadmills and inverters laying around ... after the apocolypse ??

    Treadmills:  All the now abandoned gyms and fitness centers, large apartment complexes, colleges

     

    Inverters: Hardware stores, big box places, those enormous Amazon warehouses. (Watch for zombies and Amazon robots!). But…. It isn’t impossible to build an inverter too. I didn’t add that to the infographic, but it could easily be done. Just trek to the nearest electronics storehouses for rummaging. I’d be the first at the element14 store!

     

    I'll add the resistor or a placeholder to the field wire!

    Only ever seen pictures, but yes that would cover it.

     

    Sync'ing the inverter outputs might be the big headache, but only if you wanted to connect to a grid, where there is a single Juman guarding 250 of them.

     

     

    This almost sounds like a Myth Busters Episode ...
