Torque Sensor

Hello Element14 Community,

 

I am trying to find a torque sensor like seen in this non-English video, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you looking for ready made sensors or are you willing/able to make them yourself.

    In one of the videos it seemed to me that he was measuring the resistance of tension springs - this would be quite tricky to get to work.

    In a different set up he was using  a small load cell.

     

    I could find 100g ready made load cells on Aliexpress for £4.19 each and lots of different foil strain gauges for under £1 each. To use the load cells you need to be able to do precision machining and to use the raw gauges you need to learn how to stick them on to suitable metal parts (not easy !).
