XMOS/startkit board

I have contacted XMOS a number of times about the problem with their community_addition not seeing the XMOS/startkit board in Linux.

I followed their instructions. They have not solved the problem and refuse to give me any more help.

I have sent them the detail results of their instructions and they refuse to help me any more!

I have looked to see if any one else has had similar problems. They have,but, I have not seen any one solve the problems.

At this point I am ready to give up!

They're still around : ) They're very helpful, but sometimes need to reach out directly to them. They sometimes have training courses in their office in the UK, which is one option to get up-to-speed on the tech, because it uses a few concepts very different from other microcontrollers (specifically, OS-like features in hardware). Otherwise I wrote a 3 part guide on the XMOS xCORE chip which should help hopefully.
They are popular for audio applications, where the XMOS chips can be used for reducing jitter for hi-fi (e.g. high-end sound cards). A few years ago they had the first microcontroller with GigEth interface (at least, I think it was the first). Also, they've got some new silicon very recently, used for speech processing (e.g. voice assistants like Alexa, but can do a lot more).
