Where is Ms Awittor located?  We do a "Lunch w/an Engineer" series at Chicago State University hosted by the Office of Engineering Studies.  It's hard to find female professionals.

    Jane

I work at a childrens museum and we would like to place several sensors in the ceiling (8 feet) so that when a child crosses under a sensor a musical note will be played.  Can you suggest a sensor that will work for this kind of application?

    Thanks, Gary

    Hi Gary,

I recommend using the PaPIRS which has 5m and 12m distances.

More information can be obtained on our website via the link below

    Hi Allen,

For street lighting do you need the lights to come on and off when it senses someone approaching?

We have the Napica light sensor which is used for lighting design however we have the PaPIRS which is a passive infrared sensor.

More information can be obtained via the link below

    www.pewa.panasonic.com/components/built-in-sensors/passive-infrared-sensors/

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

    Allen,

The Napica (Light sensor) will be the best choice. Where is the location for this project so I can put you in touch with our sales team.

    Thanks

    Good day Ma'am,

I need your expert advice. I am having a problem right now about my PIR sensor lhi 968. You see, i only have the sensor itself that's why i am creating circuits from scratch with reference from circuits i search at the internet. I am currently using a LM324 with the PIR sensor. Well, the circuit works... as a heat detector and not that very efficient. It will only activate when the tip of the soldering iron is near the sensor, about 1cm. My problem is i don't have the lens for it so i tried using it bare. Is that possible? And also, can i make a motion detection project from this without the use of lens (fresnel lens) ?

    Thanks
    Robert
