Hi,
Need help on this
How to Convert Response of (Photodetector,OPT301) Output Voltage(V) to Irradiance (W/m2) when LED wavelength = 450nm
In the datasheet only has the wavelength = 650nm curve
Thanks

Hi Man Long,
I control the PWM of LED supply Voltage to get different intensity. Thus I need to measure the LED intensity in W/m2
Hi
A led have about one color so one wavelenght. If you led is red, you can consider that the wavelength is 650nm so you can use the value given by the datasheet. If not you can take the value is the graph at the first page of datasheet. For 650nm the photodetector output 0.47V/µW and you know the area of the photodetector that is 2.29 x 2.29mm as indicate at the first page.
So with the voltage you have at the output, you obtain the µW. and you know the area in mm². So you can translate to W/m² easily.
Hi Man Long,
Got it, Thanks a lot.
What is the maximum irradiance that opt301 can withstand?
What is the maximum irradiance that can apply to SFH2400-Z?
