Raspberry Pi 7 inch Touchscreen

I set everything up. The problem is I am getting a rainbow of colors on the display and nothing else. I tried several power supplies, reconnected all the cables and jumpered the display board to the rasp pi board but still no luck. The raspbian OS I flashed onto the micro sd card works fine with the 3 inch touch display I also have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Martin,
It's likely to be the power supply still; if you're seeing a rainbow then that proves the display is receiving some power, and that the Pi has transmitted video frames of rainbow (the display on its own cannot do this).
Therefore it is almost 100% likely that the power supply (or USB cable to the supply) is insufficient for powering the Pi and the display.
The Pi does display a colour pattern when the voltage is slightly low.
See here if you want to confirm you've connected things correctly, but it sounds like you have.
