I am quite new to this sort of stuff and I was wondering, how would I go about making my own 3D printer at an affordable price?

    Hey jack

    To make a 3d printer will cost you around $400 for an entry level printer.  There is companies out there that are selling them cheaper at around $300 like Makibox.  A great website is reprap.org.  This should give you all the information you need to know, like the different boards, types of printers(Cartesian,delta,polar), hot ends and so on.  If you have any questions dont hesitate to shoot them my way.  Hope this gives you a starting ground.
