Advice wanted for reading from PC <- TENMA 72-10410  DIGITAL MULTIMETER with RS232

Hi,

 

I am looking for a multimeter whose measurements can be sent to a PC. Someone suggested the following multimeter from Farnell: 72-10410 - TENMA - DIGITAL MULTIMETER, HANDHELD, 3 3/4DIGIT | Farnell element14 België.

I want to connect the multimeter to my Raspberry PI's usb, for which I will need a serial to USB converter cable (RS232). I am quite new with multimeters and electronics as a whole, can someone verify if I will be able to use the following cable with this multimeter? http://be.farnell.com/ftdi/ttl-232r-3v3/cable-usb-to-ttl-level-serial/dp/1329311

 

If someone knows a better method to get multimeter readings on the Pi: suggestions are always welcome!
