Help needed!!

Hello, I'm looking to acquire an impulse latching relay.... I've checked RS components but can't seem to find any. The relay needs to be PCB mounted and have a low coil voltage (ideally 3v but this can be upped). Does anyone have any suppliers/links to components that match the description.

Alternatively suggestions for how I can get an LED to come on and stay on when triggered by a standard non latching signal relay are welcomed.

Many thanks,

Dan.

Part of your mistake was searching on RS rather than Farnell Slight smile

I searched latching relay on Farnell with filters for in stock and listed in ascending order of price:

    Hi,

There are probably many ways to achieve what you want, but it needs more information. What is the actual use-case?

There are quite a few circuits to implement latching capability with ordinary relays, here: http://talkingelectronics.com/projects/200T

However, ordinarily people wouldn't use a relay to latch an LED, it's a costly and physically large solution, semiconductor methods could be used. It's unclear how you wish to turn off the LED (e.g. toggle action? or eventually self-reset? or a separate clear LED electrical input?).

If there was more detail on your use-case, it would be easier to help further.

The search engine obviously looks for the word "latching" and doesn't care if the context is "non-latching", but thee are plenty of latching parts.

The Axiom one on clearance looks like a very good buy !
