Deciding on a DMM, USB logic analyser, and power profiler.

Would love your advice on both logic analyzers, DMM, and a power profiler.

I've got a, let's call it semi-serious electronics habit and I'm doing some design using an ESP32C3 and a DWM1000 (UWB chip) communicating over I2C.  I've also got some sensor packages using SPI.  Debugging is a nightmare without a logic analyzer and I'm looking for an appropriate device in a "serious hobbyist" budget (ideally under £600) and without a month-long wait!

I'd also like a good handheld DMM with auto ranging, temperature, and a stable kickstand/probes!  Is there a particular one you like?

Finally, would love your input on a way of measuring power consumption of the device.  I'm looking at the Nordic Power Profiler Kit II, would you have another suggestion or is that a good one?

This is the circuit I'm using. It measures high side current through R100 and drives the same current throught R104, R105 and R106. It was extracted from a bigger design so apologies for the odd net…

I have two logic analysers which I recomend: This one https://thedebugstore.com/products/zeroplus-lap-c-logic-cube-analyser-uk and this one: https://thedebugstore.com/products/zeroplus-lap-c-pro…

If you only need the Logic Analyzer I think the Digital Discovery is a better option Analog Discovery 2. https://www.newark.com/digilent/410-321/pc-based-oscilloscope-30mhz-10msps/dp/40AH1640…

I ended up going with the MP710503 Multicomp power supply.  Does anyone know of a simple way to go from the banana plugs to TWO barrel jacks (splitter)?

The obvious way is to make the leads up yourself, you will need the 4mm plugs and the barrel jacks (and wire).

If you use stacking 4mm plugs you can connect several to the PSU at once.

Often with common plug and lead types (like 3.5mm jacks) I buy ready made leads and modifiy them.

Farnell's partner company CPC sell a range of low cost power leads:

Amazon have  a lot of suitable bits, these look quite fun:

As a last resort you may be able to recover leads from dead wall warts. I often want to salvage stuff like that from the local "recycling" centre (AKA "tip") but in the UK they quote silly Health and Safetey rules and won't let you. I've tried explaining that re-use is the best re-cycling but they have cameras and sack any helpful staff members.
