Hi, can we use part #HCPL2631SDM as replacement for HCPL2631SD ?

and can you please explain impact due to variation in output current ?

Can you post the portion of the datasheets that needs explanation? The M parts seem to have higher transient protection but are otherwise similar. What (ESD) environment are these intended to work in?.
