Looking for a can-bridge 2 channels.

Hi, I am looking for a can-bridge 2 channels plus extra i/o port that I could program to filter can messages between the can-bus port and trigger message when received a digital signal on extra port.

I found one here, https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hackster.io/news/emile-nijssen-s-open-source-can-bridge-makes-automotive-man-in-the-middle-a-cinch-b4dfeb952b04.amp, but seems that is not available from provider. Would be great to have one like that to test a function on forklifts.

Waiting for your ideas and colaboration, maybe you have capability to manufacture and support me.

  • What to recommend depends a lot on your software skills.

    A long time ago (25 years) I designed a similar device which connected a rear passenger air con to the main vehicle air con  in a famous make of luxury car to limo conversion. It had two can ports, a serial port and a diagnostic port.

    The hardware for such things is pretty simple but you end up writing all you own code and need a good understanding of CAN.

    I think you can do it with off the shelf stuff from Vector which will work fine but be quite expensive.

    Are you looking for a plug an go solution and is it just a one off for testing ?

    Are you able to write the code at processor register level in C (you will probably need to do so to minimise delay through the bridge.)

    Are there any safety implications ?
