Hi,
I need a replacement for my electric gate. Can you advise if is will fit - VPT24-4170 "au.element14.com/triad-magnetics/vpt24-4170/transformer-toroidal-2-x-12v-100va/dp/1785741"?

Hi,
It might be OK from an output point of view, but I have no idea if it is OK from a safety point of view, since there are standards and it's complex, only the manufacturer can advise. If you decide to use it, then you'll need to follow the datasheet when you connect the two secondary windings together, it mentions in there what color wires to join.
Since I don't know your experience and you have not mentioned it, and especially because you asked the question which an engineer would already know, I have to state, make sure it is faulty first before you replace it (transformers don't often fail, although some will have an internal safety cut-out that could render it unusable, but then there's likely to be a fault elsewhere too, to have caused the cut-out to occur), and you should only replace it if you know what you're doing.
I checked the Webb website. They are generic (and come in 3 sizes)
The replacement above allows that primary is in series, and also that secondary is used in parallel. And its 100.7 VA.
Frequency matches. I'd say it's a fit
