I have a similar TENMA model at home (I can't remember the model number right now) and it has similar issues. Sometimes the actual voltage can be off by a volt or so (mine goes up to 60V, 1.6A). I tried calibrating but after calibrating for few times it got worse. So I just use it as an inaccurate power supply...not for anything fine.
Thanks for sharing this experience. how do you calibrate it? I can't find anything in the user manual.
Ok, I found back my model number. It's Tenma 72-8340A. Please have a look at the following link:

There is a pdf attached to the last post. You can try the same procedure for your supply....maybe the firmware is similar. Let me know how it goes!
Best Regards,
Saad
thanks. the procedure doesn't seem to work. I can't get into the calibration mode. thanks for the help. I'll try to get it shipped back...
