What kind of adhesive or glue should I use to bind them?

Hello Experts,

I am looking for a kind of adhesive or glue which can bind a tiny Li+ion battery to a hard plastic ABS enclosure's bottom.

Could you suggest a good adhesive or glue for my goal?  Here are my Li+ion battery and my hard plastic (ABS) enclosure.

Thanks for your attention and opinions.Relaxed

Ideally you wouldn't use glue, but double sided foam adhesive tape or similar. This reduces the chance of damaging the pouch, especially as the cell can swell throughout its life and needs some ability…

+1 on hot glue (you can easily remove the glue simply by dripping some alcohol on in and peeling it off in case you need to remove the battery) or double sided tape (the foamy one, so it can fill the gap…

The other advantage I forgot to mention is that when it comes time to replace the battery, foam tapes can be easily cut through with dental floss or piano wire, safely separating the battery from the case…

Im a fan of hot glue for these type of projects because hot glue is non destructive. The battery can be removed by heating the glue with a hair dryer.

For our E14 colleagues without a hair dryer, Ive also used velcro on lipo batteries, even easier to remove than hot glue, but if you change batteries , you need to put velcro on the new one.

    Hello Friend,

How about super glue (Cyanoacrylate)?  Is it corrosive?

    https://hk.element14.com/ultratape/0595-2gm-ul/ultrastick-superglue-2g-tube/dp/3498575

I heard that when it was invented, fingers stuck with it had to be admitted to hospital in order to unbind them.  Grin

Superglue doesn't stick to all plastics. You'll need to be able to remove and replace the lipo when it gets puffy.
