any laser diode will do that if you mount lt on a servo to rotate it 90 degrees, parallel close to the floor. Lasers have a narrow beamwidth so they need rotated or using some lens for dispersal or rotation, or maybe even a rotating prism.
Thanks alot for the info. For you to better understand my intentions, im trying to replicate the laser formation thats on a dyson gen5 detect so i can make my own. Not spending 1000 bucks on a stick vacuum lol

I expect they have patents which you could find and there is no problem copying for personal use.
They don't use a mechanical scanner, just a lens - and you may have trouble finding that.
You can buy the laser cheaply on Ebay (or Aliexpress).
Be careful - its easy to damage your eyes with these things - don't be tempted to buy a super powerful one !
You will need to ask on a specialist optics forum to get some help with the lens.

Tape an led flashlight on the sweeper head, achieves a similar objective.
You’ll want a green line laser instead of a point one. Look for something around 532 nm with a wide fan angle (like 90°), those are usually used for leveling and should show dust on the floor nicely. Just keep an eye on the power so it’s safe indoors.
