IoT is an ever changing beast with Computer Security being something that is constantly on the minds of many developers and users of IoT.
There are a 3 online resources I enjoy going through and reading up on for all types of Computer Security information, including IoT.
The First 2 are actually Security Conferences. If you can manage to attend one of these they are incredible ways to not only get cutting edge information but make some really interesting contacts with people in the InfoSec fields.
If you are unable to attend they still have some great resources archived and available from their websites that stretch back and give an interesting timeline of what is happening in Computer Security.
Black Hat has been a premier security conference for quite awhile and is a Company who has international offerings. For example at the 2016 European Black Hat, Offensive IoT was presented as a 2 day hands on training opportunity.
I have not had a chance to attend this training myself but I have attended previous Black Hat conferences and training. In fact I have done so on my own dime and felt it was well worth the price. Cost can be a detriment as well as location for some since in the United States it is held in Las Vegas and some corporations have problems thinking their employees will attend a multi-day conference in Las Vegas and focus on Computer Security. Crazy huh?

Def Con is a Security Conference similar to Black Hat that has been running since 1992. I say it is “similar” mainly because the main organizer behind both is the same individual, Jeff Moss aka Dark Tangent. Whereas Black Hat will have suits and ties attending at some of the finest hotels in Las Vegas, Def Con will have a varied audience ranging from Teens who have hitchhiked there, to Grand Parents who remember hacking on their 300 baud modems. For some time the Hotels seemed to all suffer some type of curse and were soon demolished after the convention, but I am sure that was pure coincidence tied to the fact that low cost meant more people could attend. Regardless of the Chaos, the information and knowledge pool there is incredible and many times Headhunters can be found looking for their next big Security Hire.
Def Con brings in many other groups as well and one of interest to our readers is the IotVillage. These fine folk bring in hardware and organize with attendees in testing (and usually severely breaking) the security of a variety of Internet devices. The conference in the United States is held right after Black Hat in Las Vegas so I highly suggest attending this if you attend Black Hat.

Finally I enjoy checking out The Hacker News every so often to just kind of see what kind crazy and outrageous happenings are going on.
I hope others enjoy checking out these sources and if you get seriously interested in a trend with security it has probably been discussed in detail at one of those two conferences.
