You don't need me to tell you about the epic predictions for the value of the current, and future, IoT marketplace. We all know it's a massive part of the contemporary tech industry, but just because the Internet of Things industry is booming doesn't mean it's easy for newcomers to get a foothold.
Which is one of the reasons Premier Farnell has been partnering with a unique global incubator platform called Startupbootcamp IoT | Connected Devices. So far, it's accelerated over 300 startups in its five year operation, and boasts a follow-up funding rate in excess of 70%.
If you've got an IoT business in mind, and are looking to get in on the Startupbootcamp action for 2016, you'll need to be quick. A last call for applications went out the other day for the UK chapter, as the June 13th deadline is fast approaching. You don't have to be based in the UK, as applications are open worldwide, but this arm of the accelerator program is focused on the London facility and will begin operating from there in September.
Ten successful applicants will be selected to each receive €15,000 in cash, and workspace within the 70,000 square feet space. This includes access to a full prototyping lab, and partnering and mentoring services with major industry and manufacturing players.
Go check out the official website if this sounds like something that could help get you and your IoT vision off the ground, and get your application in as quickly as possible.
