You should be on the lookout as they traverse the winding roads of Europe over the next few weeks, as you might catch a glimpse of NXP IoT truck as it winds its way around the continent.image

UPDATE: Manchester and Glasgow dates are now confirmed!

NXP Smarter World Tour in EMEA - Glasgow

NXP Smarter World Tour in EMEA - Manchester

This rolling center of hot innovation and cool tech had the European leg of its grand world tour sponsored by element14, in an effort to spread the good word about new trends in the Internet of Things; a subject that, as you well know, is very close to our hearts here on the Community.

The tour kicked off in France at the beginning of the month, and is stopping off in Italy and Germany before making its way to the UK, so hopefully it'll pass close enough to your home that you can go and check out the vast array of IoT demos the truck is a mobile home to.

These include everything from wearable tech to medial electronics, but moreover it provides a lab on wheels where electronics engineers, makers and tech heads can get a first hand look at the designs and solutions that are helping devices to connect to the internet.

It's all about making things smart. Smart homes, smart wearables, and even smart cities. You can check out some of the demos here on the NXP World Tour page, and below is a schedule for the truck so you can hopefully connect with it and let us know what you've seen, where you saw it, and how you think it'll make an impact on the world of electronics.

I think there's a better chance of it getting to Canada than the Isle of Man. image
