The Internet of The Backyard challenge is now in full flow and with our contestants well under way in creating their connected backyard devices, this got the element14 team thinking... What is the greatest ever backyard win? For example, have you ever built an epic barbeque, constructed a fortress like tree house, or maybe you made a palatial bird so fantastic it send could have housed a pterodactyl?

TO ENTER: Share your backyard win below in the comments section (with a picture if you have one) and you could win a Google Nexus 10 tablet! We'll choose the most epic win from any comment posted between now and September 7th 2014.

Good luck!

Hi all and thanks for entering your backyard projects.

It was a pretty tough choice, but we have decided that Nico teWinkel was the winner with this entry. I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating Nico and thanks once again for sharing your own projects with the community!

I am working on a project for my backyard where I make a weather station with various sensors such as humidity, temperature and light / dark sensor. The goal of this project is to automatic controle via IoT to give the plants water, to control shading screens in backyard  and turn the  light  on or off when I'm not present at home.

    Kind regards,

    Lahcen
