This is interesting. The price for an 8 channel The Things Network gateway has just dropped. TTN now has an "Indoor Gateway" to differentiate it from their expensive Outdoor Gateway that is weatherproof.

It only supports WiFi (no wired Ethernet) and does not allow a static IP. Looking at the TTN information, they lowered the price by using and ESP8266 for the WiFi
