With all teams submitting their projects to the 2016 Hackaday Prize design concept challenge!
Just about any technological, scientific, or mechanical device you could imagine would need to be monitored and/or controlled in some way and this is where the Internet of Things (IoT) comes in.
IoT equipment that has been kindly donated by Microsoft includes:
- 1 Raspberry Pi device (running Windows 10 IoT) w/ case
- A functioning cloud services account with free access credits (VMs, web services, etc)
- WiFi receiver for Pi
- Raspberry Pi camera
- Assortment of LEDs and beepers
- Assortment of basic sensors (temperature, light, etc)
- NFC shield
- ISO image of the latest version of Visual Studio
- High speed WiFi or ethernet internet access
Teams may already have a project and can bring other OS, code, parts or hardware and each team requires a compatible laptop or workstation.
If you wish to volunteer to support the event or be a sponsor we would love to hear from you. If you have a team of 3-5 people ready to go, want to be part of a team, or need more people for your team, we are happy to help.
We are also very interested in hearing from the broader community about your needs and things that matter to help inspire our teams.
