Hi, I made a post before, I think on both here and Intel forums, that I've had trouble pairing my phone to the Edison.
I can pair the Edison with a BT speaker, my phone with a BT speaker, but not them with each other.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is a limitation of the library, or maybe with my phone.
At the time, I did not know much about Bluetooth. I still don't, but need to replace my phone soon (along with my HDD, and modem from a lightning strike, which is why I've been missing!) and saw there are different supported "modes". The one I have plus what I'm looking at have BT4.2. Mine and one I'm looking at has A2DP and LE, but the other also has EDR listed.
I'd like to use my phone for a serial terminal, and POSSIBLY also send audio through(out from) it if possible in the same mode.
Does anybody have a good idea or experience on using the Edison BT for something besides just music, if it's possible to use serial?
What do I need to look for on a phone so I can pair it to send/receive information?
I'm running out of pins to control LED indicators for what I could use my phone for instead, and don't have experience controlling things with expansion boards yet.
Thanks!
