What guide did you use to get started with Eclipse IoT / Paho?

For The Internet of Holiday Lights RoadTest Plus, I'm going to learn the Eclipse IoT solutions. That's part of the criteria for this exercise.

I'm curious to find out what tutorials or guides helped you to get on top of the subject.

I've watched kartben 's getting started video, and that will get me going, but please chime in if you know another good guide.

To answer my own question image ,

The MQTTClient Hello example - part of the "Eclipse Paho MQTT C/C++ client for Embedded platforms" library (available for arduino from kartben's github) helped me to grasp the mechanisms.

Once I understood what part of the example was used for sending and what part for subscription, it was easy to start using MQTT.

I then started to split up the example in two - one sketch for sending, one for subscribing - and ran them separately.
I used the Paho MQTT Client Utility as the counterpart in each case,

    - in the Yun as sender scenario; I subscribed Paho to my Yun topics so that I could see them arriving in the log

    - for the receiving scenario, I published messages in the utility with the same topic as what my Yun was listening to, and made the Yun sketch log the results in the console - same as the original Hello example.
