How deep is the market adoption of smart cities technology where you live?

We hear a lot of roll out of new products and technologies for smart city solutions. But what about the actual deployment and implementation of these smart city technologies? How deep is the adoption of these solutions in the cities and countries where you live? Examples would be welcome.

  • Next year I get my free bus pass so I hope to start using buses and then I will find out how smart they are. I might even plan a few longer journeys just to see how far I can get for nothing. Currently I walk, drive or increasing get other people to take me to places. Or I stay at home.

    A limiting factor may be that I get bus sick (and car sick if I'm not driving) but I Iive in hope I'll be able to manage.
