IIOT device for Industrial Use that can replace PLC/Indutrial Computer

Pircks

Good day, does anyone know an IIOT device for Industrial use that is cheaper than PLC/Industrial computer.
Just for a small machine that needs to tracks its power on and power off time stamp.
I tried to look for boards like Arduino or Rasphberry pie but this boards are not design for industrial use. (24/7 operation with dry and dusty environment)

those are pretty good units, i did a review on them a little while back www.youtube.com/watch Anyone who says you cant get to industrial strength with Arduino is fortunately mistaken... this is good…

Another possibility is this Arduino PLC. The price is low. It is a plc that straddles the arduino and plc worlds. www.automationdirect.com/.../productivity_open_(arduino-compatible)

It sounds like the Avnet SmartEdge IIOT (based on Raspberry Pi) might meet that description, but it looks like that's not being made anymore. Maybe there's a newer version? And I've seen the Siemens…

Agree with this. around 2020, I built a product where I used Arduino for programing, and it is still running without any issues.

Application of Arduinos to solve industrial problems is doable. The business needs to have a well defined support model.

In 40 years I have seen great technology ideas implemented with no thought to support. When it fails and there are considerable resources depending on its operation, that is when it costs big time.

Industruino is another company making industrial strength Arduino's. I think the company started about 10 years ago and have been adding and improving on their product range over the years.
