Is there a serial device (COM port) listed on your OS?
If yes click on the serial button on mu editor and press Ctrl+C. What does it show?

    Two possiblities

    1) Driver is not properly installed

    2) Faulty serial port on your hardware

Raise a case with Adafruit. CircuitPython is their (ugly) baby. They ought to be able to help..
